John Johnson

Career:

John Johnson joined SEC in 2007 as the General Manager of the Bowling Green, Ohio Plant. John had over 28 years of various assignments with Owens-Illinois (O-I) headquartered in Toledo, Ohio prior to joining SEC.  John held several Plant Manager positions with O-I and was appointed a Plastic Division Vice President – Area Manufacturing Manager in 1994.  Other assignments with O-I included VP-Business Unit Manager and VP-Director of Manufacturing.

Education:

John earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Toledo and his MBA from the University of New Haven in Connecticut.

Social/Community:

John is an avid runner and continues to sponsor an annual Half-Marathon and 10K race through the streets of Bowling Green working to raise funds for the local Boy Scout Organization. John has worked with the local community to attract new businesses to the area providing tours and discussions with potential investors.

Personal:

Born in Ohio and raised with 9 brothers and sisters working at his Father’s gas station while attending high school and college.  John has been married for 20 years to his wife Debbie, a Veterinarian, and they have a house full of rescued animals.   John enjoys running, golfing, and playing basketball.
