Career:

Eric’s journey at Southeastern Container started in 1995 in Effingham, IL as a Maintenance Technician. With stints as a Maintenance Manager with Team Cleveland, Corporate Project Engineer, and Plant Engineer in both Wisconsin and Tennessee, Eric finally landed at Team Winchester as the Operations Manager. In 2024, Eric was promoted to Manufacturing Plant Manager of Team Winchester.

Education:

Eric earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Cleveland State Community College, laying a strong foundation in technical expertise. Building upon this, he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a minor in Industrial Management from Tennessee Wesleyan University, blending his technical and business skills together. Furthermore, Eric’s commitment to continuous learning and leadership development is evident through his graduation from the Chief Executive Network’s Next Level Leaders program, highlighting his proactive approach to personal and professional growth.

Social/Community:

As a dedicated volunteer for the United Way, Eric contributes his time and efforts to various initiatives aimed at improving lives and strengthening communities. Eric’s personal connection to the March of Dimes, stemming from his daughter’s premature birth, has inspired ongoing support from his family, underscoring their dedication to the organization’s mission. Additionally, Eric’s involvement with the Frederick County Economic Development Authority showcases his proactive role in promoting economic growth and development within his local area. Serving as a member of the budget and finance committee for the Lake Frederick Homeowners Association, he plays a vital role in ensuring fiscal responsibility and effective management of community resources. Through his multifaceted involvement, Eric Reed embodies the spirit of community engagement and making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Personal:

Eric Reed’s personal life reflects his Midwestern roots and values, having grown up in Illinois in a family deeply ingrained in hard work and entrepreneurship. Raised by a father who owned a construction business and tended to a farm with beef cattle, Eric learned the importance of diligence and resilience from a young age through farm work and construction projects. Family is central to Eric’s life, as he is happily married to Valerie, with whom he shares a daughter named Faith. Outside of his professional pursuits, Eric finds joy in traveling, cherishing moments with his loved ones, and indulging in his passion for learning. An avid reader, he particularly enjoys military history and novels by authors like Clive Cussler and John Grisham, finding solace and adventure within the pages of both fiction and non-fiction literature.
