Career:

Darlene Wilson is the Director of Human Resources. Darlene joined SEC in 2011, she provides leadership and guidance to the organizations’ HR operations and is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resource policies, procedures, best practices, plus identifying and implementing both short and long term strategic talent management goals to support the strategic mission of the Company. Darlene has almost 30 years of Human Resource management experience at the manager, director, and regional director levels with domestic and global manufacturing organizations and local government.

Education:

Darlene earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration from Gardner-Webb University, a full curriculum Human Resources Management Certification from Western Piedmont (4.0 GPA), and has achieved her SHRM – Senior Certified Professional certification. Darlene is also a Superior Court Mediator, certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission.

Personal:

Darlene is the proud mother of two daughters, Wendy, who has a Master’s of Science in Social Work with a concentration in Evidence-Based Interpersonal Practice; a Graduate Certificate in Trauma Treatment and a Fellowship in Acceptance and Integration Training (AAIT) all through the University of Tennessee. Wendy is currently a practicing individual and family therapist/licensed clinician. She also has a Master’s in Biology and a B.S. in Biology/Chemistry. Katie, Darlene’s younger daughter, has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Dance from UNC- Charlotte. Katie is currently Principle Dancer for Aerial Dance Chicago. ADC is one of the world’s first professional concert dance companies in aerial performance and considered a pioneer in the field of dance. Darlene also has her first grandchild, Pierce. Darlene enjoys spending time with her family in NC, and traveling to Chicago to see Katie’s performances.
